For about ten years, Pastor Teddy was involved in youth pastoral ministry at the Ethiopian Evangelical Church (EEC) located in Washington D.C. During that time, Pastor Teddy became an instructor at Life Christian University of Fairfax County. In 2007, he became the founding president and instructor at Zadok University. God gave Pastor Teddy a fervent burden for the people of Latin America and Africa while he was studying at Rhema Bible Training Center. In 2007, this burden took form and Zadok University was born. Although Pastor Teddy's vision is for the people of Latin America and Africa, he was well aware that ministry must always start at home as indicated in the Bible where the apostles started their ministry in Jerusalem.
Moreover, Pastor Teddy believed that it was important to first launch the university on an internationally recognized U.S platform. This would be instrumental in gaining universal recognition and accreditation before launching out to the nations of Latin America and Africa. Hence, Zadok University first originated in Pastor Teddy's hometown: the DC metropolitan area. In 2009 Teddy moved back to Ehiopia where he currently is a Bible School Instructor.
In January of 2012, ZADOK University changed it's name to Abiding Life Christian Theological Seminary, or ACTS University for short.
