There are some great messages conveyed in many of today's Contemporary Christian Music. Two of my favorite songs are Mistaken and Disappear. The song Mistaken presents a prayer that I have prayed many times. It is a song that could've been written from my own heart (if only I had Warren Barfield's talent). Scripture tells us that we are Ambassadors of Christ and His Kingdom. When people see us, they should see Jesus Himself manifesting His life and glory through us.

       We are collectively the Body of Christ. We are His hands and His feet. As He is so are we in this world. Truely, we shouldn't have to tell people who we are because who we are should be speaking for itself. Christians should demonstrate the highest form of integrity in all we do. Christians should have the best work-place performance in each of our companies. Christians should never allow themselves to get caught up in any scandles, sceams, sins, or unethical behavior.

       Truely, I want to disappear in Him, until everyone I talk to hears His voice and everyone I touch feels the warmth of His hands. I want everyone I meet to see Jesus in me. I want to be mistaken for Jesus. I am not my own, I am bought with a price. My body belongs to Him, so I should never allow myself to compromise in any way. I must determine to be fully consecrated to Him: spirit, soul, and body. As I saturate my entire being in Him, I want to disappear and allow Him to be seen instead of me. I want to be mistaken for Jesus.

       The other song that I made mention of was DISAPPEAR, by Bebo Norman, which conveys a similar thought. We need to be so consumed by His presence that we have disappeared in Him, to the point where people only see Him in us, not us ourselves.
